Sell products online - no muss no fuss

You have something to sell you say?? You want to sell it online on the internet but what do you do to get there? You could just sell it on Ebay right? Well yes you could, this works for small amounts of merchandise plus the added cost of the listing per item that Ebay charges so your overhead increases. Ok I have a digital file (i.e. a song.mp3, or a book.pdf) I want to sell and provide it instantly to the customer. Not on Ebay will that happen. You will need to set up your own online presence or pay a provider that deals with digital download sales.
Ok this all sounds like it is getting to complicated you say to yourself now. This is why I haven’t looked into e-commerce (selling on the web) solutions. Well we can make it as easy as opening your e-mail and sending out your product from an order on your web site and collect the money. If you have digital files, it is even easier. Just collect the money your web site handles your digital file downloads to your customers.
Alright you have me but how do I collect the money? Well we promote the ease of PayPal for transactions. You can accept most major payment methods from six world currencies all for a small fee 2-3% for each transaction (please check with PayPal for current fees) deposited into your bank account. For larger monthly transactions a merchant account would be preferred. We can help you set up either payment method.
Yes I am hooked now but what about the online store (web site)? If you have a web site established, and it meets the requirements, you can add and integrate a store to it. We can assist you in checking this out with your hosting provider and setting your store up. If you don’t have a web site, it is a matter of getting a URL (yoursite.com), prices from various registration site range from a few bucks to $40 or more per year. Next find a hosting provider that will support the store you want to have, different stores have different system requirements (prices vary). Then either install the store yourself or have it installed and configured for you. Finally fill your store with your products and you are open for business.
As with any grand opening, just because you are on the internet, does not mean customers will be flocking to your store. You need to take some best practices to push your first customers to you. Use your store web address on all your marketing materials, including business cards and email signatures. Submit to the search engines. Ebay….Did I just say Ebay after I told you not to do that? Well yes and no. I said small amounts of merchandise were ok. List some of your items and include your web site in the description so that if buyers like what you have, they will go to your site to see more and buy directly from you. After the word gets around you will be off and running.
We have left out the technical ends of selling online on purpose. With the right assistance you will not need to do anything but list your items, Open the order e-mails and ship the product to your customers, go to the bank and spend your profits. Contact us to start selling now.
